The chef, in an Instagram post, gave a step-by-step recipe process to cook lemon rice. And, we are sure you don’t want to miss out on this one. Best part? It takes only a few minutes to prepare it. “Lemon Rice – Winters call for a sunny saviour and my saviour is this bright and beautiful Lemon Rice,” she captioned the post.
Lemon Rice Recipe:
Oil: 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds: ½ tsp
Chana dal:1 tsp
Urad dal: 1 tsp
Whole Red chillies
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
Peanuts: 1 cup
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Salt as per your taste
Step 1: Pour some oil into a pan, and add in the mustard seeds. Once the seeds begin to pop, add a teaspoon of chana and urad dal, each.
Step 2: Next, we throw in some red chillies and curry leaves.
Step 3: Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder and mix the ingredients using a spatula.
Step 4: Now, empty the leftover rice into the pan. Make sure the rice is evenly coated with the mix. Now, pop in a cup of peanuts.
Step 5: We move to the last step. Add salt as per your taste and pour in a tablespoon of lemon juice. Once again, give it a nice mix and it’s ready to serve.
