The cases of phishing fraud are at a peak and many actors in the past have fallen prey to cybercrime. Now, actress Akanksha Juneja, who is currently seen playing the character of Nidhi in Kundali Bhagya, reveals getting duped of Rs 30k while ordering food.

Sharing the incident, Akankshashared, “Every day we hear cases of cyber fraud and try to be cautious, but nowadays fraudsters are so smart that they find new ways to fool you.

Once, while ordering the food, I received a call from a company number where the person asked me to click on the link sent on my number to confirm the order. I asked him about the need to do so but he told me that it’s the new protocol to confirm and order the food. And as soon as I clicked on the link, 10k was getting deducted from my account, every 5 minutes.”
The actress further added, “I was just wondering what is happening this and why. Then, luckily, I recalled clicking on that link and immediately, contacted my bank and asked them to block my account. Amid all of this, I lost Rs 30,00, which was really disheartening for me because ‘mehnat ki kamayi ke paise jb bewajah chale jate hai to bohot dukh hota hai.’ “
Lastly, warning people about online fraud, Akanksha said, “People should be very careful about the online scams that are happening nowadays. The link the fraudster had sent to me helped him to hack into my phone. One should never click on the links sent by an unknown person as fraudsters are so smart nowadays that they can easily fool you.”
Professionally, Akanksha has done projects like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Hamaari Beti Raaj Karegi, Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.
