A group of people stripped four women, including a teenager, dragged and beat them up after accusing them of “shoplifting” in Faisalabab in Punjab, some 180 kms from Lahore, on Monday.
In a viral video, the four were seen pleading with people surrounding them to let them have a piece of cloth to cover themselves after being stripped but they were beaten with sticks. They were paraded naked in streets for an hour.
One of them alleged they were accused of shoplifting when they entered a store and asked for water, as they were thirsty.
