Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide has left the entire country in mourning. On June 14, the actor was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his Mumbai home. He was 34 years old. Recently, a throwback video of Sushant with Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Superstar Rajinikanth has surfaced on the internet.

Ahead of the release of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant and Dhoni flew down to Chennai for the film’s promotions in 2016. After the event at the prestigious Satyam Cinemas, the duo went to Rajinikanth’s house in Poes Garden and interacted with him.

The resurfaced video has Rajinikanth asking MS Dhoni about his biopic. The Indian cricketer can be heard saying that the film is due for release on September 30 (2016) and that Sushant is playing his role in it. Rajinikanth’s wife Latha can also be seen in the video.

Speaking at the event, Sushant said that he had been to Chennai twice before 2016. Once, he had flown down to the city to watch Dhoni playing for the Chennai Super Kings.

When asked how much hard work he has put into the film, he said, “It’s just about finding the soul of the story. Dhoni is a metaphor in the film. It’s an emotion that is there in everyone. We just have to discover it.”

Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise has also re-opened the debate of nepotism, bullying and favouritism in Bollywood. According to reports, the Chhichhore actor was battling depression for over six months and was taking help for the same.

The Mumbai police are now investigating the case of Sushant’s suicide.
