'Slept with vapes': Two litres of black, bloody vape juice drained from woman's lungs in US – Times of India
In a shocking case, two litres of black and bloody liquid was removed from a woman’s lungs after she was hospitalized for vaping addiction, The Daily Mail reported.
Jordan Brielle, 32, told the publication that she had been vaping or using e-cigarettes since 2021. She admitted that her addiction was “excessive”. She told the publication “I was fully addicted”.
She revealed that she was so addicted with vaping that she slept with it and even went to shower with it.
Her situation started getting worse when she began feeling heaviness in her chest and experienced “horrible cough”.
She told The Daily Mail that at first it was just a horrible cough and she was going to hospital two or three times a week for help
She told the publication that she had little to no voice.
“Each time they would send me home. It felt like there were 80 pounds (about 36 kg) of pressure just laying on my chest. I’d never felt so sick in my life,” she told The Daily Mail.
She made startling revelations that her skin was turning gray and that her ankles and kneecaps were swelling up. She said, “I kept going to the hospital because I was progressively getting worse.”
“I could barely do anything. Nobody knew what was actually wrong with me. I felt like I was dying,” she added.
Brielle was rushed to the hospital after her partner found black mucus seeping from her nose and mouth. She was put into a medically-induced coma before doctors drained two litres of “vape juice”– the liquid the vaporizer converts to aerosol before it’s inhaled — from Brielle’s heavily damaged lungs.
Brielle after getting discharged from the hospital said she hasn’t touched a vape since.
