India post 297 vs Bangladesh in Hyderabad, highest T20I score by Test playing nation

India registered their highest T20I score as they posted a massive total of 297/6 in the third T20I against Bangladesh on Saturday, October 12 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Sanju Samson was the top scorer for the Meni in Blue as he slammed his maiden T20I century off just 40 balls.

Samson scored 111 off 47 balls smashing 11 fours and eight sixes as he brought the Hyderabad crowd to the edge of their seats with his wide array of shots. He was well-supported by captain Suryakumar Yadav who played a blistering knock of 75 (35) smashing eight fours and five sixes.

Riyan Parag (34 off 13), Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) and Rinku Singh also made valuable contributions in the end as India posted their highest score in T20Is surpassing their previous best of 261/3 against Sri Lanka from 2017. India finished their innings with 297/6 registering the second highest score in the format behind Nepal’s 314 vs Mongolia in 2023.

Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag give perfect finish

After opting to bat first, India lost their opener Abhishek Sharma early in the innings as he was caught inside the circle against Tanzim Hasan Sakib to leave India on 23/1 after 2.1 overs. After losing their opener, Samson and Suryakumar didn’t hold back and launched a carnage on the Bangladesh bowlers adding 173 runs off just 70 balls.

Following their dismissals, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag also added 70 runs off 26 balls for the fourth wicket. Riyan Parag finished the innings in style as he smashed Tanzim Hasan Sakib for a maximum over long on.
