IPL or PSL? Mumbai Indians new man Corbin Bosch signs up for both leagues

Mumbai Indians new signing Corbin Bosch finds himself in a unique spot as the South African all-rounder has signed up for Indian Premier League 2025 and Pakistan Super League 2025. Bosch was brought in as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams on Saturday, March 8.
Bosch was part of the title-winning MI Cape Town side that won the SA20 title and picked up 11 wickets during the campaign. The all-rounder made his debut for South Africa in 2024.
“Corbin Bosch will join the squad as Lizaad Williams is set to miss the rest of the season. A right-arm fast bowler and right-handed middle-order batter, Corbin has played 86 T20 having taken 59 wickets and a batting high score of 81. Corbin was a part of the victorious Proteas’ U-19 side that lifted the World Cup in 2014 and was also the player of the match in the finals producing a magnificent spell of 4/15. He has been a regular across formats for his domestic team and made his debut for Proteas in 2024.”
“Corbin played a key role in MI Cape Town’s title-winning 2025 season in SA20 picking 11 wickets in the title winning campaign,” read the statement from Mumbai Indians.
Bosch’s IPL-PSL conundrum
However, Bosch finds himself in a tough spot. The all-rounder is also signed up for the PSL, which will take place during the IPL 2025 season.
The PSL is all set to start from April 11 and run until May 18. IPL 2025, meanwhile, will begin on March 22 and the final will be played on May 25. This means that Bosch will have to choose between playing in one of the leagues. Bosch is part of the Peshawar Zalmi squad for the 2025 season.
Bosch is the second replacement player signed by MI ahead of the new season as they roped in Mujeeb Ur Rahman for the injured Allah Ghazanfar.
