“Amazing team work under the capable leadership of Sadda Sarpanch @ShreyasIyer15 & @RickyPonting ?? That was an awesome catch Shreyas ! Best I’ve ever seen… I’m grinning ear to ear,” she added.

Punjab Kings are now the only unbeaten side in IPL 2026, with the win over Mumbai stretching the streak to five straight games. The result has taken them to the top of the points table with 9 points from a possible 10, continuing the momentum they built last season under Shreyas Iyer. After falling just short in the IPL 2025 final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, PBKS have resumed their title push this season with the same consistency and intent.

HOW PBKS THRASHED MI AT WANKHEDE

Punjab Kings delivered a clinical chase to outplay Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

After MI posted 195, riding on a brilliant century from Quinton de Kock and a supporting knock from Naman Dhir, PBKS responded with authority.

Prabhsimran Singh led the charge with an unbeaten 80 off 39 balls, while captain Shreyas Iyer scored a fluent 66 off 35. The duo stitched together a 139-run partnership that took the game away from MI.

Earlier, Arshdeep Singh’s three-wicket haul helped keep Mumbai in check, ensuring the target remained within reach.

PBKS eventually chased down 196 in just 16.3 overs, sealing a seven-wicket win and extending their impressive run in the tournament.
