Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the BWF World Championships.

This is Kingshuk Kusari and I will take you through Day 1 of the tournament.

India are playing several matches today, as the tournament returns to the country after 17 long years.

Several top Indian players, including, Ayush Shetty and PV Sindhu are in action today, and they will start on Court 1 from 12:30 pm onwards.
