After a lady constable tested positive for coronavirus at the Superintendent of Police office, other staff members of the office will undergo Covid-19 test as well.

A lady constable posted in the office of Superintendent of Police in the Itanagar Capital Complex was found positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. Following this, entire office has been sealed till further notice.
Confirming the incident, Director General of Police (DGP) RP Upadhaya said, “The SP Office has been sealed as one staff member tested positive for Covid-19 today. All the staff at SP office will be tested for coronavirus tomorrow. After proper disinfection of the building and campus, the SP office will be allowed to open.”
The lady constable has been shifted to Covid Care Centre at Lekhi.
Itanagar Capital Complex and the Domukh Circle of Papum Pare district is under total lockdown for seven days till July 13.
The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet issued guidelines for the lockdown and any person violating lockdown norms will be liable to strict legal actions, the notification mentioned.
Sources stated that all these measures have been taken fearing community transmission in the area.
