The dairy brand Amul has always been known for their unique branding strategy. If you scroll through their social media handles, you will find the brand creating dedicated doodles on every trending topic. Be it a ground-breaking event or a national/international news, you will find Amul having its own unique take on the same. Recently, Amul again made it to the headlines with their new doodle on social media; and it features their take on filmmaker Mani Ratnam-directed period drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan I’.

Also referred to as ‘PS-1’, the film was released on September 30, 2022 and has been doing wonders at the box office ever since. The film features stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shobhita Dhulipala, Vikram and others, and has been receiving great reviews from both critics and viewers.

To hail the success of the movie, Amul shared a creative on Instagram and wrote alongside, “Epic film, by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan released!” In the doodle, we see a graphic version of the stars relishing butter and toast. “Get your Mani’s worth!” the poster wrote.

The post took the internet by storm and received more than 11.6k likes and hundreds of comments. “Masterpiece,” read a comment. Another person wrote, “Lovely and brilliant movie.” A third comment read, “Epic slogan.”
