Mechanically, we expect the Hyundai Ai3 to be powered by the same 1.2L Kappa VTVT petrol engine that is currently doing duty on the Grand i10 Nios. The engine generates a peak power of 81.8 hp and a max torque of 113.8 Nm. That said, the fuel efficiency of the Ai3 is expected to be around 20.1 kmpl.
According to reports, the Hyundai Ai3 sub-compact SUV is to rival the likes of the Tata Punch in the Indian market. In terms of safety, the Ai3 might receive a few ADAS features like lane keep assist, forward collision avoidance and blind spot detection. With such safety features, the upcoming Hyundai SUV will become the most affordable car in India with ADAS. As far as the price is concerned, the Hyundai Ai3 price might start from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom) based on the reports and the same has not been confirmed yet.
