NEW DELHI: Don-turned-politician Anand Mohan Singh was released from Saharsa jail in Bihar on Thursday morning.
He was released from the prison at around 4.30am, according to TV reports.
Bihar government had recently amended the prison rules allowing the release of 27 convicts including him.
Singh, a former MLA and Lok Sabha MP, was convicted for the murder of the then Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah IAS. The DM was lynched by a mob in 1994.
