The decision made by Twitter CEO Elon Musk to permanently remove the legacy blue tick badge came as a surprise to many. Things got even more interesting when Mr. Musk reportedly decided to restore the blue badge for users who have more than one million followers on the microblogging platform. Initially, users had to pay $8 a month for the blue tick badge. Of course, this U-turn on the blue tick policy triggered a wave of memes. Amul’s tribute to Sachin Tendulkar became an instant hit on social media, with fans flooding the comments section with red hearts and fire emojis.
