Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has hinted that Vikas Dubey has been killed to hide secrets of the government.

A short while after reports confirmed the encounter of dreaded gangster Vikas Dubey, Akhilesh Yadav hit out at the Yogi Adityanath government. He tweeted, “Actually the car has not overturned, the government has been saved from getting overturned by exposé of secrets”.

Earlier on Thursday as well, the former UP CM had raised questions on the arrest of Vikas Dubey. He had tweeted, “Reports coming in that Vikas Dubey is under police custody. If this is true, then the government should clarify whether this is an arrest or a surrender. Plus, information and details from his mobile should be made public so that the truth can be revealed.”

On Friday morning, Vikas Dubey was killed in an alleged encounter by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force while he was being taken to Kanpur from Ujjain.

Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party and the Congress had alleged a nexus between Kanpur gangster Vikas Dubey and the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. After the encounter early morning, Samajwadi leader Akhilesh Yadav has once again targetted Yogi government alleging the encounter was staged to save the secrets of Yogi government.
