Bollywood superstar recently celebrated his 53rd birthday with his family and the team of his upcoming film Bell Bottom. The actor is currently in Scotland shooting for the film. The team landed in the UK last month and began shooting after 14 days of mandatory quarantine. 

Akshay Kumar shares video thanking all his fans and mentions the work done by 'Akkians' on his birthday

On Saturday, Kumar took to his social media handle and shared a video and thanked his fans for the love and support. First of all I would like to apologise to all of you for taking three days to say thank you. I am in Scotland currently shooting for Bell Bottom. My birthday came amidst this and I got to spend good time with my family and lots of love from all of you. I would like to thank all Akkians from the bottom of my heart. Even during this time of crisis, you have celebrated my birthday beautifully. I saw that some of my fan clubs distributed food, some planted trees, some donated blood, some also donated money on Bharat Ke Veer. One of my fans named Ramesh has been walking barefoot for years. I request you to wear footwear as it is the time of corona and it can affect your family. If I come to Rajasthan I would like to meet you. Once again, I would like to thank all my fans for their love and support,” he wrote. 

On the superstar’s birthday, Twinkle Khanna shared a selfie with Akshay Kumar along with the birthday cake and also pictures of a birthday card made by their little daughter Nitara. Sharing the pictures, Twinkle wrote, “A small celebration for the big boy’s birthday!”
