Amit Sadh on Breathe series: It has given me a lot, and I gave a lot to it as well
Amit Sadh is excited about his upcoming web series Breathe: Into The Shadows. The show will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 10. The actor will be seen reprising his role as cop Kabir Sawant in the sequel to the 2018 thriller, titled Breathe.
In a telephonic interview with IndiaToday.in, Amit Sadh talked about his new show, how OTT platforms have given him the much-deserved recognition, how he’s keeping himself busy in lockdown, and more.
While Amit is reprising his role as Kabir Sawant in Breathe: Into The Shadows, he says it is different from the first season as this time he’s behind bars. He said, “I’m not different from the previous Breathe. It’s just that it’s a new dimension, new storyline, new world. As you can see in the trailer that the cop himself is in prison. And now you have to find answers as to why is he in prison.”
From television to films to digital platforms, Amit Sadh is among those actors who have managed to leave a mark on all three mediums. Talking about the differences and similarities in the mediums, he said, “There’s no difference in the three platforms. The difference is in the reach only. The shooting parameters are the same. We still have to work hard, ask more questions and prep more. So the process is the same. It’s not like ki OTT hai toh thoda kam kar lete hai ya films hai toh zyada kar lete hai.”

However, he added that the digital medium has provided him with better opportunities. He said, “I think the digital world has given actors a better opportunity to present their talent. Breathe, especially has given me a lot. It holds a special place in my heart. And when it is on me, I give a lot to it as well.”
While the rest of the actors are complaining about missing sets and not being able to go out, Amit Sadh is working 16 hours a day, giving interviews and dubbing for the show. He said, “I have been quite busy these days as I’m promoting my show while giving interviews. At the same time, I’m dubbing for it. I’m not complaining, rather I take it as a blessing to be able to work in these times.”
The first season of Breathe saw R Madhvan in the lead. Breathe: Into The Shadows stars Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh and Nithya Menen in lead roles. Junior B is playing the role of Dr Avinash Sabharwal, who is on a mission to save her kidnapped daughter. The show is directed by Mayank Sharma.
