Anna Ben is enjoying the attention coming her way for her excellent performance in her last film, Kappela. Recently, she starred in an awareness video about fake casting calls in the Malayalam film industry. The video is a production of The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA).

In the 50-second-long video, Anna Ben can be seen giving an audition for a film. She gets uncomfortable when an unknown person touches her face. She pushes the person away and rushes out.

A voice-over of Mohanlal then urges people to be aware of fake casting auditions and call the helpline number mentioned in the video. He ends the video saying that help will be provided immediately as soon as they receive the call regarding a fake casting call.

Here’s the video:

The awareness video is directed and shot by Jomon T John. Editor Shameer Muhammed, composer Rahul Raj and sound designer V Harishanker worked on the video.

In a statement, FEFKA’s General Secretary, B Unnikrishnan said, “It is people with no connection to the film industry who are creating this bad reputation. Those who wish to make an entry into the industry should be careful about making a commitment.”

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala is taking all steps to make the industry safe for newcomers and experienced actors as well. In an attempt to expose the wrongdoers, the association will be coming up with several awareness videos in the future.
