Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that his side deserved to win their match against Fulham in the Premier League on January 13.

The penalty was awarded in the dying minutes of the first half after Fulham’s Issa Diop fouled Raheem Sterling inside the box. Palmer’s confident strike sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, marking his ninth goal in the league campaign.

“It is important. We need to keep pushing. We have a break but that will be good for our players. Too many players played too many games so a break is good,” said Pochettino.
