Ever since CM Punk returned to the WWE at Survivor Series, fans have had a lot of names on the list of dream opponents for the former World Champion.

One of the names is Kevin Owens, who many have likened to Punk over the years for his in-ring skills and his work on the mic. Both men have had history during their time while away from WWE.

The seeds of a future feud were probably planted when both men had a very brief interaction backstage on SmackDown last year. The excitement from the fans in the arena was pretty audible during the segment.

Punk would then even mention in another segment that he and Owens were ‘too much alike.’

This was something that the former Universal Champion was quizzed about during an interaction with Indiatoday.in. Owens agreed to the fact that both men were similar in the sense that they had both done things in their careers in their own way.

However, KO was quick to say that there are a lot of things they’re different on as well.

“We’re both guys that probably, you know, have done things their own way, in a sense. But there’s probably a lot that we’re very different on as well, so I think it’s a little bit of both,” said Owens.

When it came to the question of having a feud with Punk, Owens was open to the prospect of a feud somewhere down the line. KO said that he was sure he would end up in the ring facing the former WWE Champion soon.

“I’m sure we’ll end up in the ring together at some point. It seems, uh, like there’s no way we wouldn’t,” said Owens.
