This year’s theme, “Children, Love Your Eyes,” emphasizes the need for accessible and affordable eye care services for all children. World Health Organization (WHO) writes on its official website, “Research shows that reducing screen time and spending time outside protects children from developing short-sightedness (myopia), which means that parents, caregivers and educators have a central role to play in protecting the vision of our future generations. Regular eye and vision checks can help to identify issues at an early stage.”

We asked Dr. Barsha, Senior Consultant at Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals about the importance of spotting the early signs of eye problems and diseases to watch out for.
