After exploring the non-fiction genre with Bigg Boss 16 and later seen as a guest on Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, Abdu Rozik is all set to make his acting debut on Hindi television. The Tajikistani singer will soon be seen in Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan, which features Shabir Ahluwalia and Neeharika Roy as the lead couple.
Informs a source associated with the show, “In the upcoming track, Mohan (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Tulsi (Keerti Nagpure)’s daughter Gungun (played by Reeza Choudhary) will be shown celebrating her birthday.Damini (Sambhabana Mohanty) sends Abdu to kidnap Gungun. It is later revealed that Abdu’s character doesn’t mean to cause any harm to Gungun but is following Damini’s orders for money. Reeza and Abdu will become good friends eventually and the latter will save her from Damini. Abdu will start shooting for this cameo track tomorrow.”
Abdu was recently in Cape Town to extend his support to his friend and mandali member Shiv Thakare. Last month, Abdu was in the news for an FIR being lodged against him for playing with a loaded gun at the launch of his restaurant in Mumbai. However, he posted on social media that some people were trying to sabotage his name by spreading lies. Talking about the incident, he told us, “At the launch, I asked a bodyguard whether the gun he carried was real or fake. He handed it over to me and said, ‘See for yourself’. I held it for hardly a few seconds and returned it immediately. But some people clicked pictures of me holding the gun and circulated them. No FIR or case has been registered against me. I fell sick due to stress. I feared my visa would be cancelled and I wouldn’t get to come to India again. So, I went to the police on my own to inform them that I hadn’t done anything wrong.”
