The Lauki mutke recipe by chef Saransh Goila has gone viral on Instagram Reels, garnering over 892k views and 23.3k likes. “Have you tried Mutke? Reminds me of Muthia. This Maharashtrian snack is still made in some homes on the occasion of Ganpati. This is my version of the classic and you can of course make this without ginger garlic also,” wrote the chef in the caption of his post.

The best part is that the recipe for Lauki mutke is simple to make and also very healthy since it uses the process of steaming in its making. How To Make Lauki Mutke By Chef Saransh Goila | Easy Lauki Mutke Maharashtrian Snack Recipe

First, grate Lauki finely in a bowl. Add your selection of spices, green chili, and yogurt and mix it well. Use Sattu flour and oil to create a smooth batter for the Lauki Mutke. Now, grease your steamer or Dhokla pan and form small portions of the Mutke and place it in the pan. Let it steam for about 25 minutes then keep aside.

Now, prepare the tadka for the Mutke. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and hing in it. Now toss the Mutke in it and serve hot!
