In a turn of recent events, the star cast and crew of the show Hamari Bahu Silk have raised their voices against the producers for nonpayment of dues for months. While the television industry has been standing in solidarity with them, the actors have revealed that one of the producers has blocked them while the other is untraceable. The actors have run out of money and are expecting the makers to pay them for the time and efforts they have put in the show.

Ishq Mein Marjawan actress Helly Shah opened up about the situation and expressed her displeasure. She says she has never faced a situation this drastic, payment delays of a few days is still fine, but not paying the actors for months altogether is absolutely wrong. Thinking about the daily wage earners, she says it’s a sad situation to be in. A lot of people will have to restart and even though it’s a very sad situation, she is sure that they will get through it.
