Honda’s new SUV to be called ‘Elevate’: Grand Vitara, Creta rival’s global debut in June – Times of India
Talking about the design of the Elevate, the SUV has been spotted multiple times testing on Indian roads. Since the SUV was extensively covered, it’s hard to tell anything about its new design. The new SUV will be based on the same platform as the 5th generation Honda City sedan. The SUV will get an LED headlight with DRLs and will also feature a big grille, chunky wheel arches, roof rails and chrome surroundings all around. In terms of dimensions, the SUV is expected to measure somewhere between 4.2-4.3 meters in length.
Moving on to the inside, the SUV is expected to get a 10-inch infotainment system with a semi-digital instrument cluster. Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, electric seats for the driver, 360-degree camera, engine start/stop button, connected car tech, PM 2.5 air filter and many more.

Talking about the powertrain, the Elevate is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT Automatic. There will be no diesel engine on offer. However, at a later date, Honda might introduce a strong hybrid variant.
In terms of pricing, the price for the new Elevate is expected to start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will make its global debut on June 6th 2023, the launch is expected to happen by September 2023.
