India at Commonwealth Games: August 2 schedule, medal events, fixtures in Glasgow
It is the final day of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Sunday, August 2, as India looks to finish off on a high. Saturday was a great day for India in boxing as 7 gold medals and 3 silvers came in boxing. Sakshi Chaudhary, Jaismine Lamboria, Arundhati Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas and Preeti Pawar got gold medals from the female boxers contingent with Lovlina Borgohain settling for silver. Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal secured gold medals, while Narender Berwal and Jadumani Singh finished with silver medals.
Gulveer Singh got a historic bronze medal in the men’s 5000m final and Unnati Sharma added to the judokas’ tally with a bronze as well. This pushed India into fourth spot in the medals tally with 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze medals.
In Para athletics, Soman Rana and Shubham Juyal got gold and silver in para shot put event.
The action on Sunday will see India in action in judo and track cycling. Across the velodrome, cyclists Dinesh Kumar, Harshveer Singh Sekhon, Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam and Lisha Das set to compete on the track.
In judo, Ishroop Narang, Avtar Singh and Yash Ghanghas will be aiming to build on India’s strong performances at the Games so far.
The games will come to a close with an incredible closing ceremony that is lined up.
