INDW vs AUSW: Deepti Sharma becomes first India bowler to pick 5-wicket haul vs Australia in Women’s ODIs
Deepti Sharma, on Saturday, December 30, became the first Indian to pick up a five-wicket haul against Australia in Women’s ODIs. The 26-year-old off-spinner achieved the feat in the second ODI at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Deepti finished with impressive figures of 10-0-38-5. She also broke Nooshin Al Khadeer’s record of best figures by an Indian bowler in Women’s ODIs against Australia. Back in 2006, Al Khadeer had figures of 10-0-41-4 at the St Peters College in Adelaide.
