Isa Guha outlines major Jasprit Bumrah concern for India ahead of Brisbane Test
India have a major problem going into the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, feels former cricketer Isa Guha. Speaking ahead of the Brisbane Test match, Guha pointed out that Jasprit Bumrah might not be fully fit, and that could put India in a whole lot of trouble.
India were hammered in the Adelaide Test match, the second game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Jasprit Bumrah bowled just 4 overs in the morning session of Day 2 and struggled later in the day. The commentators believed that Bumrah had pulled his adductor muscle.
Later in the final innings of the game, Bumrah just bowled one over with Australia needing just 19 runs to win and did not touch 130 kmph, much lower than his usual speeds.

Speaking to Fox Sports on Wednesday, December 11, Isa Guha noted that Bumrah not playing in Brisbane could have huge consequences on the game.
“For India, I don’t think they’re going to be too concerned about what happened in Adelaide … they’ll enjoy going to the Gabba and playing in those conditions,” Guha said.
“The only concern they might have, is around Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness and what that does to the bowling attack … that’s where the main challenge lies for India,” she further added.
India and Australia are level 1-1 going into the Gabba Test match. The Indian team has a lot to figure out going into the 3rd game. The Indian team might have to rejig its batting order to give captain Rohit Sharma a better chance at scoring runs. On the other hand, they might have to reconsider their bowling attack after Harshit Rana kept spraying runs in the pink ball Test match.
