Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeep‘s language row has become a topic of debate on social media. It started after Ajay reacted to Sudeep’s statement on ‘Hindi is not our national language’. Ajay said that Hindi will always be our national language and he got trolled for the same on social media. A lot of celebs reacted to the language row and came out in support of Kiccha Sudeep. Now, actor Jaaved Jaaferi has reacted to Ajay and Kiccha’s debate.

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Jaaved said that he was also under the impression that Hindi is our national language. He said that he read about it and looked for our national language. It was then he realised that the constitution gives no language the status of a national language.

While speaking to India Today, Jaaved said that there are 22 official languages, out of which, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu and Sindhi are the official languages. He further said that the point is about unity in diversity and it was and is the beauty of India. He said that there are so many religions but there is no national religion, there is no national language.
