NEW DELHI: At least 2 people have been crushed to death while many more were injured after being hit by a train near Kaljariya in Jharkhand’s Jamtara-Karmatand on Wednesday.
According to local reports, at least 12 people have died in the incident although there is no official confirmation.
Railway police and local administration officials have reached the spot.The search and rescue operation is being hampered by a lack of lights in the area, said officials.
Many of the injured are in a critical condition have been rushed to nearby hospitals.
