A fan who breached security to meet Virat Kohli during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opener on Saturday, March 23, has been arrested. During the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the fan was seen running toward Kohli and touching the legendary batter’s feet.

The fan, overjoyed, also hugged Kohli, the leading run-scorer in IPL history. Security personnel quickly intervened and escorted the fan out of the stadium. The video of the fan running onto the field to interact with Kohli also went viral on social media platforms.
