Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has claimed that both Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo have a future with the club after rumours emerged on both players during the week. Rashford and Mainoo have come through the ranks at United through the academy and have been key players for the side in recent seasons. Rashford has found himself outside Amorim’s plans in recent times and was left out of the squad for the Manchester Derby.

It was reported recently that Rashford’s brother was in Milan to have talks with AC Milan about a loan move for the English forward. Mainoo, on the other hand, according to reports was suggested that could be on the way out of the club if a suitable offer does come in. Speaking to the reporters ahead of the FA Cup 3rd round clash against Arsenal, Amorim said that the club’s idea is to keep hold of the best players and build around them.

The Portuguese tactician also suggested that he wants to keep hold of his players for now.

“Our idea is always to keep the best players and to build for this club, but I am really happy and I like our players.”

“My players are always my favourites so I want to keep my players. It is a special moment in this club,” said Amorim.

The United manager also confirmed that both Rashford and Mainoo will be available for selection for the clash against Arsenal after training ahead of the fixture.

“Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo are available, they are training and we will see the selection for the game,” said Amorim.

We want to win

With their win last season, United have 13 FA Cups to their name, just one behind Arsenal. Amorim said that while the game on Sunday will be tough he expects his side to go out for the win.

“We won some cups, we want to continue. We know at this stage we have a really tough match, but we want to win,” Amorim said.

Amorim also revealed that Altay Bayindir would be in goal for the match, replacing regular No.1 Andre Onana.
