The Manipur government on Tuesday afternoon restored mobile internet services after three days of suspension in view of what it said was a “positive development” amid the indefinite economic blockade in the hill districts imposed by the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM).
Sources in the apex tribal student body of the state, after a meeting, said the economic blockade is likely to be lifted very soon.
Many people have expressed gratitude to the state government for restoring the internet, saying it is now impossible to go through daily life without the internet.
