PM Modi to launch healthcare projects worth Rs 13,000 crore on 9th Ayurveda Day | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to launch projects worth Rs 12,850 crore in health care sector on the occasion of 9th Ayurveda Day on Tuesday.
“Tomorrow, on Ayurveda Day at around 12:30 PM, important schemes relating to the healthcare sector would either be launched or their foundation stones will be laid. In a historic moment, Ayushman Bharat will be expanded by launching the scheme to provide healthcare to all those above the age of 70. I call upon all those passionate about health, fitness and wellness to join tomorrow’s programme,” he said in a post on X.
Further, he will also expansion of health coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, according to a press statement by the government.
For pregnant women, PM Modi will launch the U-WIN portal, designed to fully digitalize the vaccination process for pregnant women and infants. This initiative aims to ensure timely administration of life-saving vaccines for pregnant women and children up to 16 years old, protecting them against 12 vaccine-preventable diseases.
With an aim to raise health awareness, PM will launch a nationwide campaign, “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan.”
