India ODI captain Rohit Sharma is back in practice after his disaster tour of Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After practising with the Mumbai Ranji team, Sharma was seen in training alongside Hardik Pandya in the Mumbai Indians’ nets.

Rohit and Hardik were training ahead of India’s white-ball series against England. While Hardik Pandya will fly out for India’s 3-day long training came in Kolkata on Saturday, January 18, Rohit Sharma will remain in Mumbai. India have not announced their squad for the ODI series vs England and the Champions Trophy and Rohit is expected to remain busy in that.

The video footage of the practice was posted on social media by one of the fans on X. Rohit could be seen batting against the white-ball, while Pandya was bowling in the nets.

Rohit Sharma is expected to resume his duties as the ODI captain in the England series. As per reports, the Champions Trophy could be a crucial point in Rohit Sharma’s career.

Rohit has been training hard to get back to the required fitness levels. The India captain was seen running in Mumbai and doing his drills alongside the Mumbai Ranji team.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team is holding a 3-day camp before their T20I series against England. Sources have told IndiaToday.in that the team will assemble in Kolkata on January 18 and practice for 3 days before playing their series opener at the Eden Gardens Stadium.

The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav will hope to continue their good work in the format. Under the leadership of Yadav, India have won series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa already, with some of the matches shattering multiple records.

Sanju Samson’s promotion at the opener’s spot has been a key finding for the team management, helping them to add to their strength in the position. The new generation of Indian players are present in the 5-match series, starting from Abhishek Sharma to Nitish Kumar Reddy. India are expected to make life difficult for England in home conditions.
