Middle-order batter Rinku Singh made his ODI debut in the second match vs South Africa. Playing at Gqeberha on Tuesday, December 19, Rinku was handed his maiden ODI cap by spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Rinku’s debut comes after his sensational performance in the T20I format of the game in the Australia home series and then in South Africa.

Rinku’s career has seen a sensational rise since his exploits in the Indian Premier League 2023. The batter has not looked back ever since he hit Gujarat Titans’ Yash Dayal for five sixes in the final over of the game. Rinku has been in stunning from since IPL 2023. The batter first did well in the domestic circuit and then batted well for India ever since he made his debut. Rinku was impressive in T20I series vs Ireland and Australia and hit his maiden T20I half-century against South Africa in the 2nd T20I of the 3-match series.
