Singer-turned-actor-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead close to his ancestral village in Mansa in Punjab. He was 28 year old. The tragic news of his passing away has left his friends and fans in a state of shock. Kapil Sharma, Shehnaaz Gill, Ravi Dubey, Prince Narula, Ashnoor Kaur, Karan Kundrra amongst others reacted to the sad news and paid their condolences.

According to a report in TOI, the incident took place within 24 hours after his security was withdrawn by the state government. He was travelling in his vehicle when the assailants fired at the singer and his two friends. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

Leaving behind his celebrated tag of a top Punjabi rap singer with fans across the globe, Moosewala, belonging to native Moosa village, made his electoral debut as a Congress candidate from Mansa for the February 20 Assembly polls.

Reacting to the Punjabi singer’s death, Kapil Sharma wrote on Twitter, “Satnam shri Waheguru… very shocking n very sad, a great artist n a wonderful human being, may god give the strengths to his family #sidhumoosewala.”

While Shehnaaz Gill wrote, “Kise da jawaan dhee ya putt es duniya toh chala jaave, es toh vadda dukh koi nhi ho sakda duniya te. Waheguruji mehar kareyo🙏🏻 #sidhumoosewala.”

Prince Narula also reacted to the news with a heavy heart and wrote, “Veer kuch likhen nu nahe hai bus ronaa a reha . Waheguru mehr kare privar teh waheguru 🙏🏻🙏🏻💔💔💔💔💔💔. RIP veere.”

Karan is extremely heartbroken, upset and angry after hearing the news, he tweeted about the same. While Ravi Dubey paid his respect.

Moose Wala, who created a niche for himself with his unique rapping style, was known for hit tracks like ‘Legend’, ‘Devil’, ‘Just listen’, ‘Jatt da Muqabala’ and ‘Hathyar’, among many others. He played the protagonist in the Punjabi film ‘Moosa Jatt’. His other film ‘Yes I Am A Student’ is a story that sheds light on the hardship of international students but inspires them to never lose hope. Many of his songs featured in the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 charts.
