Sunil Gavaskar: 'The World, I Think, Is His Oyster' For Shubman Gill

Former India captain and cricket commentator Sunil Gavaskar shared his insights following India’s historic run chase of over 400 runs against the West Indies. Gavaskar lauded the Indian batting display, reserving high praise for Shubman Gill, observing, “The world, I think, is, is his oyster. He can, he can go on to break just about every record there is if he carries on in this manner.” Addressing Rohit Sharma’s prospects for the 2027 World Cup after a century, Gavaskar dismissed doubts, stating questions should not be asked about such an unselfish cricketer. He also downplayed bowling concerns, noting that pitches in South Africa will offer much more assistance to bowlers.
