When will Suryakumar return to T20I action?
Suryakumar Yadav is currently on break from national duties for India’s upcoming home Test season. The 34-year-old expressed his desire to make a return to the Indian Test cricket team and wanted to make a mark with his domestic cricket performances. However, he was ruled out of the round one and two of the Duleep Trophy 2024 as he suffered a sprain to his right thumb while fielding in the Buchi Babu tournament.
With India playing 5 Tests at home against Bangladesh and 5 away Tests against Australia on their soil, Suryakumar might not be seen in a lot of international action for the remainder of the year. However, he would be leading Team India in the 3-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting October 6. Then he would lead the T20I side for a tour to South Africa, where they would play a four-match series.
