The enforcement squad of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed the Tech Mahindra campus at Maitree Vihar in Odisha capital Bhubaneswar, after seven employees of the company tested positive for Covid-19.

BMC Commisioner Prem Chand Choudhry told India Today, “The standard Covid-19 protocols have been initiated. Contact tracing has already begun to isolate others who have come in contact with the infected persons.”

67 employees have been asked to undergo home quarantine till July 20 as a precautionary measure. Swab samples of all the employees will be collected for Covid-19 test, added Choudhry.

Notably, On July 3, the third floor of Tech Mahindra office building was closed after a staffer was found infected. Around 32 staffers, who had come in contact, were then quarantined.

Earlier, the office of an ITES company located at Infocity in Bhubaneswar was also sealed after detection of a Covid-19 case.
