The latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show invites Sachin Pilgaonkar, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Shriya Pilgaonkar as guests. Kapil invites them onto the stage and gives them a warm welcome. Archana Puran Singh also comes to the stage to welcome them and have a little dance with the audience.

Sachin is asked to show his ID when he goes to watch an adult film

Kapil talks about Sachin Pilgaonkar’s journey, he addresses him as Dada and says, “He began as a child artist and then with Nadiya Ke Paar he became a fresh adult. From those days till now he looks the same all young. Dada, if you have to renew your passport, do you click a fresh picture of use from Nadiya Ke Paar?
Sachin replied, “I show the new picture and then stick the old one, and nobody notices. There is one problem though, even today when I go to watch an adult movie I am asked to show my ID”.

Kapil wants to know the secret behind Sachin’s energy in their singing reality show

Kapil calls himself fortunate to do two shows with Sachin Pilgaonkar. He said, “I got a chance to work with Sachin Dada in two shows.” They were part of a singing reality show where Kapil was the host and Sachin was the judge. He jokingly asked, “Have you ever thought that you will appear on the show of the contestant with whom you once competed?”
Sachin responds, “I never thought this as I didn’t expect this growth of yours.” Kapil then shares an anecdote, “We used to have two episodes, the shooting began from morning 7 am for the first episode and the second episode’s shooting started in the evening. We all used to get tired till evening but Dada would become more energetic towards the second episode, why?”

Kapil became a younger brother to me: Sachin

Sachin reveals the reason behind his energy, says, “It was a celebrity show where the celebs would sing songs. I would ask them to let me sing first so that I get free. I have to sit to listen to all of them. They were all my juniors back then so they accepted my request. So when they used to sing, I used to remove my miniature. I have all rights to remove it because I am equally excited as the miniature. I used to mix it and keep sipping. Kapil would ask me ‘Why are you so energetic?’ Kapil and Sumeet would discuss what is wrong with me. One day I told them about my trick.”
He further shared, “Kapil and I have fond memories together. Our first show was a comedy show and then this one. Honestly, back then I had no clue I would come to the Kapil Sharma Show. He has become a younger brother to me now.”

Sachin had cast Supriya first in Tu Tu Main Main

Kapil asked Supriya about her show Tu Tu Main Main and her real mum-in-law’s reaction. Supriya shared, “My saasu maa’s sense of humour is amazing. She knew that the dialogues I said were not mine, they were all written by her son Sachin. She enjoyed them thoroughly.”
Sachin further added, “When we were casting for Tu Tu Main Main, the first person I cast was Supriya. People would think that she is my wife. No, I had cast her because of her phenomenal acting and secondly, who would be better than her when it comes to fighting?”

Sachin received his National Award at the age of 5

Kapil revealed that Sachin had received his first national award at the age of 5. He then asked for his reaction. Sachin quipped, “At that age, I didn’t know what I was going to receive. And I had to take that award from the second President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s hands. When my name got announced Radhakrishnanji thought it would be some 10-12-year-old boy but I went to receive it and he was surprised to see a 5-year-old. Adding, Pt Jawaharlal Nehruji was sitting beside the stage.”
Sachin added, “In the National Awards, there is a rehearsal a day before and this is the only Award ceremony which has declared awards and no nominations. So all the awardees are called a day ago and informed about their seats and everything. I had no clue being a kid. My parents had come with me. When the name came, I went to the stage alone. Radhakrishnan ji was smiling and wondering about such a small kid. I took the award and started rushing back as my parents had told me not to meddle with it. While I was walking back someone called me, Panditji called me. I touched his feet and he carried me on his lap. He put his rose on my sherwani and blessed me.”

When Sachin sang Bade Acche Lagte Hai in Balika Vadhu, Supriya was a school going kid

Kapil asks Sachin about how he got cast in Nadiya Ke Paar and how he managed to hold the Bhojpuri accent in the film as he comes from a Maharashtrian background. Sachin said, “My previous two films worked well, talking about the accent. I reached the location 5 days before and started observing people. It wasn’t Bhojpuri, I took the accent from the dialect Awadhi.”
Sachin then sang ‘Kaun disa’ leaving the fans mesmerized by his soothing voice. Kapil then spoke about his famous song Bade Acche Lagte Hai and asked whether he was imagining Supriyaji’s face back then. Supriya quipped, “I was in school back then when the song came out.” Sachin affectionately added, “I had no clue in my wildest dreams that she would come into my life.”

Sachin would never get scolded by Pancham da for this reason

Sachin sang Bade Acche Lagte Hai, he jammed with the audience and Shriya. Sachin then shared an interesting anecdote on why this song is so close to him and would stay with him till his last breath. He said, “Pancham da was the music director of the film. I was crazy behind him, Shakti da called him to make a song for me. Pancham da asked him to send me to his music room. I went to see him and he was sitting alone in the huge music room. Da asked me so many questions about myself. He realised I had inhibitions so he told me, ‘Tu darr mat, main tujhe kabhi daant nahi sakta, kabhi gaali nahi de sakta’. I asked why and he said, ‘Tera naam mere baap ka naam hai’. He then asked me to speak while he played his harmonium and played the tune of Bade acche. He said, “Your voice has this sur the most, so I wanted to come to it’. Such genius music directors used to be back then.”

Sachin was an assistant director and actor in the cult film Sholay

Kapil talks about Sachin playing a crucial role in Sholay and asks him about his direction days with the film. Sachin shares, “I was an assistant director with that film, Ramesh ji had kept his trust in a 17-year-old boy. Dharam paji was trying his best to impress Hema ji. He was only supposed to climb on the tank. That tank was not real, it was created by the Art director. According to the scene he was only supposed to climb but Dharam ji crossed his legs on the railings”
“Ramesh ji was yelling from down that it will break but Dharam ji was in the zone to impress Hema ji. I was extremely tense. I told Hema ji, this is risky to get that scary expression of hers,” Kapil added.

Sachin had learnt a special bedtime story from Kishore Kumar

When Kapil asked Sachin about the stories he used to say to Shriya, Sachin revealed that Dadamuni aka Ashok Kumar taught him a tale that Shriya would often demand. Sachin left Kapil, Archana and the audience stunned by the tale. Kapil then asked how does he remember it all. Supriya said, “He has been saying this story for years and Sachin has a memory of an elephant.”

In a fans questions segment when Kapil asked Sachin, which of those good qualities of Supriya he would love to imbibe in his life. Sachin said, “Not just one there are many qualities that I would love to imbibe.” Archana quipped, “Sachin, you are going to take brownie points home today.” Sachin added, “It is a fact, I am not lying, Supriya transformed my life completely after our marriage and I give all the credit to her.”
