Tamil Nadu’s budding talent Pradosh Ranjan Paul shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram featuring India’s star batter Virat Kohli.
Kohli’s fandom knows no boundaries, be it cricket fans, experts or even cricketers. A majority of the cricket fraternity has been in awe of the batter’s batting brilliance, energy on the field, and his overall contribution to the game with his record-shattering performances.

Tamil Nadu batter Pradosh took to his Instagram to share a heart-warming post with Kohli. The post featured Pradosh’s selfie with the veteran batter in his practice jersey during their meeting in South Africa. The 23-year-old encapsulated his admiration for the star player as he captioned the post, “My inspiration, my idol. The man who means a lot to me. The best moment for me in 2023.”

The Tamil Nadu batter was thrilled to meet Kohli as he called this moment the best moment of his year 2023.

Kohli has been an inspiration to many young Indian players. Kohli began his cricketing career by captaining India to the under-19 World Cup to victory in 2008. He made his international debut for India in the same year against Sri Lanka. At the tender age of just 22, Kohli was part of the ODI World Cup winning team. 13 years into the international cricket setup, and Kohli has scored 50 ODI, 29 Tests and 1 T20 century in 519 international matches with over 26000 runs to his name.

In 2023, Kohli was the second-highest run-scorer with 2048 international runs. Kohli also surpassed Kumar Sangakkara to score 2000 plus runs on a record-7 occasions. Kohli will be playing the 2nd Test match against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium in Cape Town. In the 1st Test, Kohli was the only glimmer of hope for India in their 2nd innings, with his 76-run knock. India lost the Test match by an innings and 32 runs against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Pradosh is currently in South Africa with the Indian team. He was part of the India A squad against South Africa A. The batter made a great start to his India A career after smashing 163 runs on his debut in Potchefstroom, South Africa. His brilliant knock helped India take a 98-run lead. However, the match ended in a draw. The 23-year-old was also part of the India A squad for ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
