Star India batter KL Rahul’s kind gesture towards a pitch-invading fan has been winning hearts on social media. Rahul took India over the line in the all-important semi-final against Australia with his match-winning innings of 42* (34) with the help of two fours and as many sixes. The right-handed batter finished the match in style as he danced down the track against Glenn Maxwell and smashed him for a maximum over long-on.

After his match-winning shot, Rahul shouted in celebration and shook hands with the Australian team. While the Australian players congratulated Rahul, a fan came running on the pitch and hugged the India batter. Rahul also welcomed him with open arms and hugged him.
