Iga Swiatek hasn’t had the best of times over the years at Wimbledon as she’s looking to tame the grass.
The eighth seed has never been to the semi-final at the All England Club, but here lies a chance for her to break the jinx.
She will be up against Liudmila Samsonova of Russia, who’s yet to play in the semis of any Grand Slam.
Prior to 2025, Swiatek had played in the Wimbledon quarters only once back in 2023 where Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina beat her in three sets.
