2023 Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid MPV caught testing on Indian roads: Everything you need to know – Times of India
That said, speculations suggest that the MPV will come to be known as Toyota Innova Hycross in India, while in other markets, it will be called Innova Zenix. Given by the looks of the car, it looks bigger than the current Innova Crysta on sale. The Innova hybrid will likely be introduced as a premium alternative to the current MPV, and will be sold alongside it.

The prototype features an upright design with strong character lines and a shape that is on the boxier side. The car gets redesigned wraparound tail lights and a new set of alloy wheels. The front-end will also likely be redesigned, with a new bumper sporting a larger grille, as well as new headlamps that will make the Innova Hycross look sharper and more modern.
While the Innova Crysta sits on a ladder-frame platform with a rear-wheel drive configuration, the Innova Hycross is expected to be based on a front-wheel drive monocoque chassis, which will help improve its road manners. Apart from the the updated design, Toyota could also offer the hybrid MPV with some new features.

The new Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year, possibly at the 2023 Auto Expo set to be held in January. Price-wise, the Innova Hycross will likely cost slightly more than the Innova Crysta currently on sale. For reference, the Toyota Innova Crysta is priced from Rs 18.09 lakh to Rs 23.83 lakh (ex-showroom).
