Ana Maria Markovic has turned many heads during her career and not just her moves on the ball. The 22-year-old Croatian athlete who plays for Swiss Women’s Super League club Grasshopper and the Croatia national team, has over 720k followers on Instagram alone. Her pictures from both on and off the field raise the temperatures. Dubbed as the ‘world’s most beautiful footballer,’ Ana is a blonde beauty whose style is top-notch as much as her soccer game. Although, she is grateful for the positive responses she has recieved, she expressed in an interview that she was not pleased with a ‘sexiest’ descriptor in an unnamed piece. “I liked the articles that called me the most beautiful footballer or one of the most beautiful because it makes me happy to hear that I am beautiful. But then newspaper articles appeared in which I was described as the sexiest footballer. I didn’t like that. Also because of my family. I think you have to be careful what you write about people. Especially if you have ones that do not know. But overall it wasn’t that bad,” she was quoted saying in reports.
