“Jab 500 varshon ke baad Ram Lalla apne mandir mein virajmaan honge to saari duniya akarshit hogi,” Yogi said, while addressing a large gathering in Ayodhya as part of the BJP’s Mahasampark Abhiyan, marking the completion of nine years of Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre.
Temple Trust ‘invites’ PM
Yogi’s announcement comes amid reports of the Temple Trust inviting PM Modi to inaugurate the Ram temple on January 22.
Though a final approval from the PM office is still awaited,
The CM appealed to the BJP MPs to get associated with various programmes and campaigns that are proposed to be organised in Ayodhya in the coming days.
He also described Ayodhya as a district that was not only heading towards the ‘Ram Rajya’ that once prevailed during the Treta Yug but also tended to inspire the entire country under the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
Yogi invokes Treta Yug
“Ek baar phir se Ayodhya Treta Yug ki yaad dila raja hai jab Ram Rajya ki parkalpana ko sakar kiya gaya tha. Aaj us oar na sirf Ayodhya ja rahi hai balki PM Modi ke netratva mein poore desh ko nayi prerna bhi de rahi hai. Ye aaj poori duniya ki sabse vaibhavshali nagri ban rahi hai,” he said.
Yogi said that Ayodhya also signified the ideal relationship a “Shashak” (ruler) should have with his “Praja (people)”.
“Ye wahi Ayodhya hai jiska naam lene par pehle log sankoch karte they,” Yogi said, in a covert hitout at the previous SP and BSP governments.
Yogi categorically drew the contrast by pointing out how he has been visiting Ayodhya once every two months to take stock of the developmental activities.
The CM acknowledged that the people of the city may be facing some initial problems because of the developmental projects.
Ram Path in Ayodhya
“But one has to bear the pain to achieve a higher goal,” he said, adding that in the next four to six months, the roads of Ayodhya will be comparable to the ones at Rajpath in Dehi.
“And we have named them Ram Path” he asserted.
Likewise, the road along Sugreev Qila leading to Ram Janambhoomi will be named the Bhakti Path.
Yogi said that there was no shortage of funds for the development of religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi (Varanasi), Mathura, and Prayagraj.
“The shortage prevailed in previous regimes when the state coffers were subjected to loot and corruption,” he said in yet another pointed jibe at the opposition.
He said that people expressed faith in the “double engine” government of the BJP during the recently concluded civic elections.
“The government is working to provide basic infrastructure in the state and reaching out to people in every community,” he said.
