Complete lockdown in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia city from July 3 to 10

The district administration here imposed a complete lockdown in Ballia city and surrounding areas amid the detection of over 40 coronavirus cases in recent days.
District Magistrate Hari Pratap Shahi said all localities in the city and surrounding areas have been declared a containment zone and a complete lockdown has been announced from July 3 to 10.
In the past 10 days, the city has reported 42 cases with 30 of them without travel history.
A man who died in the district on Wednesday was found COVID positive after the arrival of his report.
Another person who was sent to Varanasi died there on Thursday, the DM said.
The DM said during the lockdown, there will be restriction on people’s movement.
Only those involved in providing essential services will be exempted.
