Cosy Box From Cannes Film Festival Makes Its Delhi Debut, Heres What You Need To Know
We often hear of starry events from the spheres of art, fashion and film happening across the world. From the Grammy’s to the Met Gala, Cannes Film Festival to the Oscars – there are so many different galas that grab headlines and eyeballs alike. Have you ever wondered what exactly celebrity guests are served at these red carpet events? Guess what! You can now experience the food from the Cannes film festival in the comfort of the capital city. Cannes Film Festival’s official food partner, Cosy Box, has just made its debut in Delhi and it is a memorable experience that is surely a class apart.
Delhi restaurateurs Akshay Anand and Aashish Begwani have joined hands with the original founders, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Vesini, to introduce Delhi’s first-ever Cosy Box at One Golden Mile. The idea is to bring together a buzzing nightlife experience coupled with innovative dishes and indulgent cocktails. Spread out over an area of 7,500 square feet, Cosy Box is the ideal space for a night full of revelry. Food is a spectacle, with an array of choices from cuisines such as Mediterranean, European, Oriental and Modern Indian. The drinks menu, meanwhile, has options for everyone – from the seasoned drinker to the young millennial.
We started off our meal with some hearty soups – the Mushroom Cappuccino, the Minestrone and Hot & sour soups. Then came the Veg Dimsums which was quite indulgent and delicious. We tried the Edamame Cream Cheese Dimsums, the Peanut Butter and Spicy Asparagus-filled Dimsums and the Truffle Mushroom Dimsums doused in Truffle oil. From the Maki Mono section, we recommend the various vegetarian options such as Black Forest, Spicy Avocado and Enoki Dragon; truly a must-have!
Coming to mains, we tried the Pizza Primavera topped with tomato sauce, zucchini, bell pepper, asparagus, olive and mozzarella cheese. Among the Indian large plates, we sampled the Prunes and Cottage Cheese Kofta served with Salan curry and Doughnut bread. There was the Tamatar Rassa paired with a Tofu Kachori – a unique and interesting crispy delight.
We ended our meal with the Molten Lava Cake – a dark chocolate cake with a souffle centre topped with Vanilla Gelato.
