How to reduce mobile data usage during WhatsApp voice calls

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platforms across the globe. Although the app is primarily used for messaging, millions of people also used it for voice calls and video calls. The Facebook owned platform is a preferred choice by several users as it is quite easy to answer or make group calls on the app. However, it is worth noting that calling the feature does use a bigger chunk of your mobile data as compared to messages.

As per an old report by Android Authority, WhatsApp voice calls consume around 720kb per minute. Although it may not seem much, the data consumption can shoot up during long calls and it can have an effect if you are low on your daily data limit.

To help you out in such cases, WhatsApp offers a feature that can help you to reduce mobile data usage. To know how to use this feature, you can follow these steps.
